The responsibilities of an SO [1st 4 tasks] / SSO [all as listed below] in general include (but are not limited to):
- General Screening
- Patrolling & Guarding
- Access & Egress Control
- Incident Response
- Operate Security & Safety Systems
- Regulating Traffic
- CCTV monitoring
- Assist State/Auxiliary Police in law enforcement
- Key Press Management
Minimally, applicants must have / be able to:
- Basic licencing courses for Security Officer
- Possess a valid PLRD licence
- Have a basic proficiency in English language (Spoken & Written)
- Be physically fit to conduct patrol & clocking duties (depending on deployment)
- Be mentally fit to carry out the basic functions of a Security Officer
